Summary
SSM Teams is web-based software that keeps a company's suppliers, supplier documents and supplier risk in one place. It replaces the spreadsheets and email threads many teams use to track suppliers. It helps teams prove to customers and auditors that their suppliers are secure and compliant.
What does SSM Teams do?
- Supplier database: one searchable record for every supplier, with its contracts and products.
- Security forms: send standard security questionnaires to suppliers and track who has replied.
- Due diligence: reusable multi-step assessment workflows. Each step has an owner, documents, comments and a sign-off, with a full audit trail.
- Compliance vault: stores supplier certificates, policies and evidence (for example ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR and PCI DSS documents). Suppliers can upload documents directly. Teams get alerts before documents expire.
- Risk management: automatic risk scores across five areas: financial, reputational, compliance, operational and security.
- ROPA and reporting: produces a GDPR Record of Processing Activities (ROPA) in one click, plus audit-ready exports.
- Spend dashboard (Business plan and above): spend by supplier, product, department and renewal date, with a 90 day renewal view.
Suppliers get their own secure login, so they can answer forms and upload documents themselves.
Who is SSM Teams for?
- Small and mid-sized organisations, roughly up to 100 suppliers on the standard plans. Larger organisations use the Enterprise plan.
- Teams that need to show customers or auditors that their suppliers are secure, for example during ISO 27001, SOC 2 or GDPR work.
- Compliance, information security, data protection, procurement and operations teams.
- Teams that want to run supplier compliance themselves, without a long setup project or a consultant.
Who is it not for?
- Organisations that want a managed service where someone else runs their supplier compliance for them. SSM Teams is software your own team runs.
- Teams with very few suppliers and no customer or audit requirement to evidence supplier security. A spreadsheet may be enough.
